A key intention of creating a new sports hub would enable Larkfield & New Hythe Wanderers Football Club to relocate to a new, purpose-built clubhouse and two 3G football pitches at Oast Park. All-weather, state-of-the-art facilities are intended to address issues with water-logged pitches and match cancellations, helping to secure the club’s future well as providing facilities for wider community use.

Plans also include the return of golf facilities to Oast Park, bringing a premium, two-storey driving range and new Padel courts to the area for everyone’s use.

The proposed relocation of the football club would provide the opportunity for 50 new affordable homes in Larkfield on the current football stadium site. The plans are for a small development of two-storey homes and open landscaped green space opposite the playing fields.

The public consultation events are an opportunity to help shape plans ahead of a planning application later this year:
